Jim Valatkas has over twenty-five years of financial and accounting experience in the insurance industry. He joined Roanoke when it was comprised of the broker entity (currently Roanoke Insurance Group Inc.) and Washington International Insurance Company (WIIC). Jim’s primary responsibilities include preparing and reporting financial information in order to manage the business, ensuring the company is compliant with all taxing authorities, and coordinating all financial audits.
Jim received his BS in Accounting from Illinois State University and currently has his CPA designation. He started his career at CNA Insurance where he completed a financial management development program. Jim joined Roanoke as a senior tax accountant, followed by accounting manager, and then controller prior to assuming his current role during his twenty-year tenure at Roanoke. He currently sits on the board of directors of Roanoke Insurance Group Inc.
